Financial Aid Awareness Month
Cleveland ROCKS! the FAFSA During Financial Aid Awareness Month!
We know that going to college is the single-most important step a student can take to prepare for a successful future.
On average, a college graduate earns 1.8 times more than a high school graduate, totaling more than one million dollars over a lifetime.
We also know that paying for college is something nearly all students struggle with. That’s why College Now is joining forces with Mayor Frank Jackson and the City of Cleveland, the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and other members of the Higher Education Compact to make sure all Cleveland students have access to the most important college-going resource available…. the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as FAFSA.
FAFSA is a necessary first step in securing financial aid. You CANNOT get aid – need-based aid from the government OR merit-based money from colleges – UNLESS you complete the FAFSA.
And in order to walk you through the process, we are kicking off a month-long campaign to make sure as many Clevelanders as possible complete the FAFSA, including 60% of graduating seniors in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
